People don't seem to play the game for fun, they play to win, by any means, even if it means picking a character they don't even like just for the sake of an advantage displayed on a list posted to some forum. The first few days online with a new fighting game are great it's when someone starts posting combo vids and breakdowns that things get bad for new players coming in later, and that's why I now stick to local play after rushing to get my Achievements/Trophies for online play out of the way. He wants people to play the game and, through observation and experience, determine what the best/safest/optimal choices are, as opposed to looking at spreadsheets and diagrams other people cooked up to determine things like character choices and combos. Giving false frames in an official guide is just bad. The frames were also VERY wrong for a lot of moves, some were also stated as safe on block when in the game they were even launch-punishable on block. Interrestingly enough, the official strategy guide for Tekken Tag 2 (At least the one that was released here) mentioned frame-data for moves but those were based on 'experience' and not hard facts. I don't believe knowledge of frames have ever impacted the life of a fighter. The frames for about every single move for every single character in Tag 2 is publicly known and that never changed any tier lists I've ever seen. If we did, I think that once you see all that data you will all be suprised as all the internet character ranking lists (tier lists) will be different from what they are now. So it's for that reason that we don't display frame data in replay match recordings. Tekken is one of my favorite games and I'm shocked that the creator got no friggin idea how people play it.
